Forex strategy Lazy Trader - for busy traders
Lazy Trader is a strategy that attracts the attention of traders who want to profit from the market with minimal intervention and investment of time. Unlike many other complex systems, Lazy Trader focuses on simplicity, basic principles and working according to a clear algorithm that is suitable for both beginners and experienced traders.
The principle of the strategy is quite simple - it is placing and closing orders only twice a week, the rest of the time you can spend at your discretion.
Features of the Lazy Trader forex strategy
Time frame: Н4
Currency pairs: EURJPY, CHFJPY, CADJPY, GBPJPY, AUDJPY
Trading time: we open orders at the beginning of the week, close orders at the end of the week
Platform: Any
There is a certain pattern in currency pairs with the Japanese yen (JPY). On the graph below, you can see straight-line, but short-term trends. They can last in different ways: sometimes long, sometimes not, but during one week, one direction of price movement often prevails.
Entry Rules
1. We are waiting for the closing of the first four-hour candle at the beginning of the week (Monday).
2. We place pending Buy Stop and Sell Stop orders 20 pips above the High and 20 pips below the Low of this candle (the distance of 20 pips can be changed depending on your tests and results).
3. Stop loss is placed at the level of the opposite order. Take-profit is equal to the size of three stop-losses.
Example
In this example, we had one stop loss and one take profit (the pending sell-stop order closed at the stop loss, and the pending buy-stop order reached its take profit level). With a risk of 2%, we would earn 4% profit on one currency pair per week.
Additionally
- We transfer the order to break-even when it reaches a profit of 1 stop loss (that is, we transfer the stop loss position to the price of its opening).
- If one of the orders works, then we do not delete the second order.
- At the end of the week, all orders must be deleted or closed, regardless of their profit or loss.
- It is desirable to risk no more than 1-2% for one order.
Advantages of the Strategy
1. Time savings - trading takes only 10 minutes a week.
2. The Lazy Trader forex strategy does not use any indicators.
3. The average profit is many times greater than the losses (R:R - 1:3).
4. The strategy is easy to test on history.
5. Clear entry and exit rules. One of the main components of the system's success is strict criteria for opening and closing deals.
6. Emotional stability. A strategy with clear rules minimizes the risk of making decisions based on emotions.
7. Suitable for beginners. Since the strategy is based on basic market principles, it is understandable for beginners who are just beginning their acquaintance with trading.
Conclusion
The Lazy Trader strategy is ideal for those who do not have time to constantly monitor the market, or those who simply do not want to put a lot of effort into daily analysis. It is suitable for busy professionals who want to passively earn money in the market using a strategic approach with minimal investment of time.
Lazy Trader is a forex strategy for "lazy" traders who seek stability and moderate profits while minimizing the time spent on analysis and trading.
